Snow Leopard Days at the Zoo Burnet Park's Rosamond Gifford Zoo - Discounted Admission Though piles of snow and dipping temperatures make some outside activities difficult this season, going to the zoo is easier than ever! The Rosamond Gifford Zoo offers discounted admission in January and February. The promotion, called "Snow Leopard Days" reduces admission prices by more than half; adult tickets are $3.00 and seniors, students and children's tickets (ages 3 to 15) are $2.00.
"The zoo is a wonderful place to visit, no matter the season," says Onondaga County Executive, Joanne M. Mahoney. "It is our hope that this promotion will encourage families to get out of the house this winter and enjoy one of our community's premier attractions together." The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is open year round, and winter is a fantastic time to come see a whole new side of the animals. All of the outside exhibits at the zoo feature animals that were chosen for their ability to adapt to the region's climate. In fact, many animals along the Wildlife Trail are very comfortable and more active when it's cold. For those who prefer warmer temperatures, 60 percent of the exhibits are indoors, making the zoo a great destination even on the coldest and snowiest days. Bundle up and visit the zoo! The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
