| A Finger Lakes wine won recognition as the Best Overall White wine |

A Finger Lakes wine won recognition as the "best overall" white wine in a recent national competition. The 2007 Gewurztraminer Reserve from Dr. Konstantin Frank winery in Hammondsport, NY won Best New York White and Best Overall White in the tasting hosted last month by the Beverage Tasting Institute. The Dr. Konstantin Frank winery (Vinifera Wine Cellars won three gold medals, for the 2007 Gewurztraminer, a 2007 Dry Riesling and a 2007 Semi-Dry Riesling, which also earned a Best Buy Award. Other Finger Lakes wines receiving high ratings in the BTI tasting were Standing Stone Vineyards 2007 Vidal Ice Wine (93), 2006 Cailloux (91), and 2007 Cabernet Franc (91).
